Our client, specializing in global supply chain/freight forwarding solutions within the transportation and logistics industry is seeking an experienced Ocean Import Operations Manager. The company provides a range of services including domestic and international air and ground transportation, ocean freight, comprehensive documentation, and truckload brokerage.
Ensure compliance with transportation and logistics regulations and ethical standards.
Manage and develop a small operations team
Coordinate with foreign agent partners and transportation providers for smooth shipment movements.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding domestic shipments, tracking, and tracing updates.
Prepare BOLs and invoices using our TMS systems for international shipments, including ocean and air freight.
Coordinate the compliant movement of goods, adhering to company standards and international trade regulations.
Monitor business operations, report infractions, and review company policies for risks and liabilities.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of industry processes and regulations.
Utilize problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
Provide excellent interpersonal skills in customer service.
Essential Job Functions

Review reports, update the TMS system, and maintain excellent customer service.

Skills
Fundamental knowledge of international logistics operations, systems, and processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CSA/World-Trak, and advanced Excel.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. and manipulate data effectively.
Education and Experience
5 years of operational experience in international logistics, heavy on the ocean import side
Minimum 3 years of management experience
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and teamwork abilities.
Work Schedule In-office, Monday-Friday, flexible start time Salary $75,000-$100,000 plus benefits#RIMUS
