RIM Recruitment Professionals is Hiring a Construction Scheduler Near Scottsdale, AZ

A leader in the affordable housing renovation space for multifamily and senior housing communities is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Scheduler to join their growing Scottsdale-based office.
As a scheduler, you will work closely with pre-construction and construction operations to develop the overall schedule of projects from Notice to Proceed to Closeout. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the residential/vertical construction industry, as well as data entry. You will be responsible for building and updating schedules at various milestones, as project deliverables are completed, and as scopes of work are added to a project, and for providing updates to key team members on the progress of project completion. The Scheduler will assume overall responsibility for the project schedules. This position will report to the Preconstruction Manager.
Typical Duties And Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the preconstruction manager, team leads, project managers, project engineers, superintendents, contractors, and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through construction.
  • Develop resource and cost-loaded schedules.
  • Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations, and available resources.
  • Prepares summary-level schedules for proposed projects.
  • Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages.
  • Apply knowledge of procurement, construction terminology, and concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks.
  • Accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems.
  • May interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and give statistical reports.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to participate in project meetings.
  • Analysis of project documents to identify potential project impacts.
  • Analysis of proposal documents to generate activities, logic, and production rate at a level of detail adequate for the schedule.
  • Prepare and present schedule narratives.
  • Project scheduling will be done using Smartsheet.
Education And Experience
  • 3 years of experience building project schedules
  • B.S. or Associate degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related subject, or equivalent work experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience with the critical path method (CPM) of scheduling is a plus
  • Experience with MS Excel, MS Project, and Smartsheet a plus

  • Strong knowledge of construction systems and trade sequencing

  • Proven ability to manage relationships with clients, team members, and contractors.
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Time-management skills to organize and prioritize work and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Solid analytical skills to collect and interpret data
  • Proficiency in understanding blueprints and contracts
  • Outstanding decision-making skills

  • Keen attention to detail
Salary
$75k-$125k depending on experience
