Rigo Wallcoverings is Hiring a Studio Coordinator Near Paterson, NJ

Rigo Wallcoverings is looking for a full-time Studio Coordinator to join our team. The Studio Coordinator will assist the Design Director with overall studio organization, project timelines, communications, presentations and workflow. This is a creative environment that works with office staff, our manufacturing department, our shipping/sampling department, clients and vendors to design and produce commercial wallcoverings for a variety of brands and customers. Candidates must be well organized, able to take direction, efficient, energetic, pleasant, professional, and have an interest in color and pattern design.

Rigo Wallcoverings is one of the leading manufacturers and designers of vinyl wallcovering for use in commercial and residential markets. In its 40 years of operation the company has evolved to utilize recycled content and eliminated solvents to produce both beautiful and environmentally friendly wallcoverings. With offices and manufacturing facilities in Wayne, Clifton and Paterson NJ, Rigo Wallcoverings works with national and international clients to produce innovative designs in an array of colors and finishes to make interior spaces more interesting and inviting.

Qualities and Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated, reliable, highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a sometimes fast paced environment.
  • Good time-management and communication skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of basic color and design concepts.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and grow as an employee, and be an essential part of the studio team.
  • Creative thinker with ability to work independently, take direction, and or work on a team.
  • Basic computer skills in Word or Pages, Excel, Google platforms, Zoom, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of gravure, screen and digital printing process.
  • Knowledge of the interior design industry and market place, and or textile designs.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English would be helpful but not necessary.

Primary Work Responsibilities:

  • Oversee logistics for studio product development, keeping studio operations on point by maintaining notes, tracking project status, and communicating with vendors and clients.
  • Organize and maintain filing system of studio artwork and product samples.
  • Help prepare presentation materials for studio meetings, trade shows, and clients.
  • Generate timely and thorough project communications with multiple departments to ensure task execution.
  • Organize and maintain digital files for all studio projects.
  • Act as design team’s primary point of contact.
  • Take on various administrative tasks that arise.
  • Be interested in and aware of industry products, and related color and design trends.
  • Update and maintain research material library.
  • Improve current studio systems to be more efficient and organized.
  • Attend in-house Studio department meetings.

Work and Educational Experience:

  • Must have experience working in a professional environment.
  • Must have some office and or customer service work experience or related field.
  • Must have high school diploma. Additional education is a plus but not necessary.
  • Experience with project management is a must, and an ability to multi-task in a busy environment.

Availability and Scheduling:

This is a full-time position with the hours of 8-5 Monday through Thursday, and 8-3 on Fridays, with the availability to work over-time on Sundays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
