Overview:

We are looking for a messaging and marketing project manager who can 1) craft engaging and effective messages for our diverse audiences across multiple channels and 2) drive the project management of messaging and other marketing assets. As a messaging manager, you will be responsible for both copywriting and project management of messaging for new products and marketing assets, while collaborating with various teams and stakeholders, such as marketing, product, and sales, to understand their goals and needs and create messages that resonate with our users and customers. Additionally, you’ll drive messaging and marketing projects with internal and external agencies, ensuring these projects stay on track from kick-off to completion. 

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent writing and editing skills, as well as strong communication and organizational skills. You should also have experience in managing projects from start to finish, tracking and maintaining processes and timelines to ensure on-time delivery. Our ideal candidate is skilled at interpreting creative direction and technical information and turning them into persuasive copy concepts or thoughtful feedback. They should also be independent and quick to learn new technologies and business processes. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Write or manage clear, concise, and persuasive copy for various channels, including source copy, e-commerce, outbound commercial marketing, and packaging. 
  • Understand our products, customers, competitors, and industry trends through project briefings and independent research. 
  • Working with the marketing team, product teams, and key stakeholders to understand the objectives, audience, and tone of each project. 
  • Edit and proofread copy for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and accuracy. 
  • Project manage and track multiple product messaging documents at once while keeping stakeholders up to date on the latest status. 
  • Manage communication and feedback to agencies for messaging- or marketing-related projects. 
  • Facilitate creative reviews with key stakeholders and apply creative and technical feedback at different stages of the project. 
  • Ensure critical milestones and final delivery are on time. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field 
  • At least 3 years of experience as a copywriter and project manager, preferably in the PC, tech, or adjacent industry 
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills 
  • Expert in organization and project management 
  • Creative thinker with a flair for storytelling and understanding of e-commerce 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with various stakeholders 
  • Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content management systems 
  • Experience with outbound communication to enterprise customers and short- and long-form copy (i.e. articles, emails, social posts) preferred
