Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our healthcare team. The STNA will be responsible for providing basic care to patients, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help patients with mobility by transferring, positioning, and transporting them as needed.
  • Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate.
  • Assist with feeding patients and ensure they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Observe patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for patients.
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide high-quality care to patients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an approved State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program.
  • Current certification as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA).
  • CPR certification (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients safely.
  • Basic computer skills for electronic charting and documentation.

Working Conditions: The STNA will primarily work in patients home, healthcare facilities such as nursing homes, hospitals, or assisted living facilities. The role may require standing for long periods, and working in environments where exposure to infectious diseases is possible. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on patient needs.
