Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Professional to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Care Professional, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in a home care setting. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Monitor and document any changes in behavior or health status
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals under your care
- Lift and transfer individuals using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and basic medical terminology
- Knowledge of dementia care principles and techniques is a plus
- Experience in home care or nursing home settings is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Note: All positions at our organization are paid positions, including internships.
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $18.46 - $22.23 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
