Personal Care Assistant Professional Caregiver (PCA) - SUPERHEROS including lapsed CNA, HHA, STNA certifications

Salary : $12.00 - 14.00 per hour. Credit for experience at a verifiable agency or facility experience translates into $$ on your per-hour rate

Shift Type : Full Time & Part Time, Flexible Shifts

  • Our Personal Care Assistant Professional Caregiver (PCA) - SUPERHEROS, have the opportunity to make a difference every day!
  • Addit ional training to grow in knowledge, expertise, and responsibility-
  • Personal Care Assistant Professional Caregiver (PCA) - SUPERHEROS may be chosen to participate in Nurse-led training to assist in nurse-delegated procedures (dependent on client demand)

You will provide services in accordance with an established plan of care, including but not limited to :

  • Assisting with transferring / moving clients from place to place throughout their home
  • Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to) : vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom
  • Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions and specialized diets
  • Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
  • Personal Care : Bathing, Showering, Dressing, Shaving, Assistance with Dressing
  • Medication reminders
  • Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
  • Dementia care
  • Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
  • Observe and Report changes in the client’s condition or intake condition
  • Checking vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen
  • Assisting with change of ostomy appliances
  • Reinforcement of dressings (non-sterile)
  • Measuring intake and output

Qualifications and Skills for our Personal Care Assistant Professional Caregiver (PCA) SUPERHEROS :

  • High School Graduate or G.E.D Certificate Preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background, fingerprint, and drug screening
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for job
  • Must be able to lift or move 50 pounds without assistance
  • Have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance
