Right at Home is an in-home healthcare agency that provides personal and companion care to the elderly and disabled on Oahu, and we are looking for warm hearted, honest and hard-working caregivers to join our Ohana. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. Compensation up to $20 per hour.
As a personal caregiver, you will assist in light housekeeping, remind clients to take prescription medications, run errands (with paid milage!), prepare and serve meals, and do entertainment activities such as reading, painting or puzzles, as well as assist with health issues such as ambulation, ROM exercises, transfers, showering and toileting. (Completed Nursing Aide training required for this position.)

Requirements of the Certified Nursing Assistant-
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Proof of completion of accredited Nurse's Aide training
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • 1 year experience in healthcare or caregiving
  • Insured vehicle and clean driving record, or reliable transportation
  • Current BLS CPR/First aid certification (preferred, but can acquire after hiring)
  • Current two-step TB test (preferred, but can acquire after hiring)
  • Knowledge of housekeeping duties and cooking
  • Adhere to health and safety standards
  • Be respectful and compassionate
  • Strong ethics
  • Physical endurance
Duties of the Certified Nursing Assistant position-
  • Remind clients to take prescription medications.
  • Light housekeeping (dishes, sweeping, dusting, etc...)
  • Food prep.
  • Accompany (and possibly drive) on errands (shopping, post office, etc...)
  • Activities such as walking, coloring or puzzles.
  • Assist with hygiene (dental care, showering and toileting.)
  • Assist with transfers and ambulation.
  • ROM or other physical therapy exercises.
  • Be pleasant and supportive.
  • Report any unusual incidents.
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
