Qualifications

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Position for Safety Coordinator is with a Right-of-WayLine Clearance Tree Trimming company;experience in this field is preferred.
• Creates, develops and implements an effective strategy of safety training foremployees first by identifying training needs, producing relevant training material, establishing a training plan/schedule.
• Conducts trainings per safety training schedule.
• Develops and conducts a safety orientation that will touch on areas important for all staff regardless of department affiliation or position to be utilized by Training Department.
• Utilizes communication with Safety Supervisor/Officers to identify additional safety training needs
• Communicates regularly with Department Managers on operational issues with regard to current or potential safety training programs.
• Through regular communication with employees, supervisors and managers, assess general understanding of safety regulations, programs and procedures to identify additional training needs.
• Develops and conducts train-the-trainer sessions for managers to provide them with instructional assistance regarding the training of line staff on safety procedures.
• Maintains accurate records of safety trainings conducted, attendees for all trainings. Uses this to ensure appropriate refresher training is scheduled and conducted.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Monitor and audit internal safety programs for compliance and validation.
• Knowledge of State & Federal safety regulations and standards.
