Dental Assistant sample schedule: Mon 8 am-5 pm, Tues 8 am - 5 pm, Wed 8 am - 5 pm, Thurs OFF, Friday 8 am - 5 pm, and Sat 8 am - 1 pm

Experience and Skills Needed:

  • Experienced in 4-handed dentistry.
  • Understand functionality of autoclave, ultrasonic and x-ray machines (intraoral and panoramic).
  • Must maintain a genuinely positive/upbeat attitude throughout the day.
  • Passion for what you do and the drive to improve.
  • Superior attention to detail with the willingness to learn and accept guidance/feedback.
  • Computer skills (Dentrix, Microsoft office, e-mail, etc.) and the ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Demonstrate respect and consideration for all members of the team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years experience in a dental office.

What your responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting the doctors chairside for various clinical procedures.
  • Turning over all rooms for doctors and hygiene and setting up for the next patient.
  • Sterilizing instruments with both the ultrasonic and autoclave.
  • Putting away all instruments in their proper place and stocking all rooms with the necessary items.
  • Keeping up with the cleanliness by sweeping floors, changing garbages, vacuuming, etc.
  • Logging patient cases and double-checking all cases are in the office and all parts needed for the cases are available.
  • Sending out lab cases and writing up lab scripts.
  • Writing clinical notes for each patient.
  • Taking impressions, pouring, and trimming models.
  • Making in-house retainers, whitening trays, and custom trays.
  • Taking x-rays on patients and intraoral photos.
  • Updating and documenting patient charts and taking patient blood pressure readings.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
