SUMMARY:

The Project Engineer provides administrative support to Field Supervision and Management. They will update schedules, toolbox talks, asphalt quantities, etc. This position will also experience aspects of bidding, estimating and project management. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide project and administrative support to Field Supervision and Management
• Assists with pre-bid site surveys, take-offs, contract execution/project start-up, and closeout
• Maintains equipment schedules for Superintendents
• Organize and maintain Superintendent books needed for each project, including Tool Box Talks.
• Understand and make necessary entries in Heavy Job, HCSS and Timberline
• Update material quantities
• Pickup/deliver parts, tools, and paperwork for active jobs

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

This position requires an understanding of project management in a construction office. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar; 1 years experience within the construction field project management, or similar role. Students currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar encouraged to apply. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Computer skills MS Excel and Word software programs; Familiarity with Timberline and HeavyJob preferred.
• Efficient verbal and written communication
• Accurate data entry
• Moderate analysis and interpretation required for problem solving
• Ability to work with teams and other divisions
