RieLes Group is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team! Pharmacy Technician must have the ability to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. Services will be provided to the inmate population onsite at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) located in Marianna.

Specific duties may include but not limited to:

• Reading, interpreting prescriptions and medication orders written by medical staff
• Selection and retrieval of medications of correct strength and dosage from prescribed
• Preparing prescriptions for review by a BOP/Public Health Service (PHS) Pharmacist prior to dispensing
• Will not issue or fill any prescriptions DEA controlled substances
• Maintaining adequate inventories of all medication and medical supplies
• Preparing proper paperwork for inventories
• Maintaining an expiration date log for all inventory
• Will assist in updating patient education literature and assist in improving performance studies
• Prepare recommended supply lists to order pharmaceuticals, maintain pharmacy areas, and stock appropriate forms utilized in the Pharmacy Department
• In the absence of the Pharmacist, maintain the Pharmacy operation within guidelines
• Should be able to accurately input a minimum of 25 prescriptions per hour

Qualifications:

• Must have a medical/technical background obtained through education or on-the-job training in the pharmaceutical field and be a high school graduate or equivalent
• Must have at least six (6) months and a certificate of Pharmacy Technician services
• Must have a valid Florida pharmacy tech. license
• CPR certified
• Must be free of communicable diseases and Tuberculosis
