Provision of CNA services will require frequent and unsupervised contact with inmates and will be responsible for receiving patients and explaining procedures to alleviate undue anxiety,

Duties include:

• General triage procedures, vital signs, blood glucose checks
• Providing general assistance to nurses, mid-level providers and physicians
• Reading PPDs
• Completion and documentation of NMOS orders
• Printing and managing call Provision of services will require frequent and unsupervised contact with inmates.out lists
• Tracking inmates that do not show for call outs
• Stocking supplies
• Charting observations and tasks completed in the inmate’s medical records chart
• Assist with sanitation of patient care areas and
• Observe infection control procedures and universal precautions.
• Other duties as assigned by the on-duty nurse/Health Services Administrator

The CNA in this position must:

• Must have a current and valid BLS Certification
• Must have a least one year of verified experience performing similar duties
• Must be dependable (good attendance)
• Strong interpersonal working skills are required
• Must be able to successfully pass the government’s background screening process
