We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as our Trauma Therapist Leads Women's Healing Journey (Outpatient Program)

You're a leader, a therapist, and a champion for women's healing. In this role, you will be responsible for providing ethically sound, evidence-based treatment in the field of mental health within the Outpatient Program. The primary population to be served are women who are survivors of trauma. The therapist candidate will support the patients in the Women’s Program focus on processing events and emotions that are related to their individual traumatic experiences. The therapist will report to the Director of Outpatient Services.

Your expertise will be vital in these areas:

  • Certified Trauma Professional preferred
  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct mental health assessments to diagnose trauma-related disorders.
  • Tailored Treatment Plans: Develop individualized care plans for each client, addressing their specific needs.
  • Group Therapy Expertise: Facilitate at least 6 group sessions (frequency may vary) to create a safe space for shared healing.
  • Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to offer support during crisis situations, ensuring client safety and well-being.
  • Collaboration: PHP Participation, work with other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic treatment approach.
  • Detailed Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment interventions.

Education
: Master’s Degree specializing in social work or a clinical related mental health area, orequivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.

Licensure: Current LPC, LPCP, LSW, LCSW, LMFT issued by the State of Georgia.

  • At least 12 months of experience providing therapy to women and/or survivors of trauma, preferred.

Additional Requirements: Completion Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment. Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission and CMS standards for patient care related to treatment care planning, discharge planning, psycho-socials and patient care. OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements.
