Ridgeline Pediatric in Auburn, CA is looking for one personal care attendant to join our team. We are located on 1121 Maidu Dr. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working.

Job Title: Personal Care Attendant (PCA); part time per diem. Days needed: Fridays, Saturdays & Mondays

Job Summary: Ridgeline Pediatric Day Health and Respite Services is searching for a qualified, loving PCA for our Auburn facility. We are looking for the right person to add to our small caring team. If you love children and want to help those with special health care needs then this is the place for you! The Personal Care Attendant receives all training on site to become competent in providing direct client care under the direction of a skilled nurse.

Company Overview: Ridgeline Pediatric Day Health and Respite Services is a specialized care facility for medically fragile children and adults. We are looking for the right person to add to our small caring team. If you love children and want to help those with special health care needs then this is the place for you! Ridgeline was established in 2005 in Grass Valley, CA and has facilities in Yuba City, Olivehurst, two facilities in Redding, and a new facility in Auburn.

Facility Hours: Facility operating hours are M-S 7:30 AM – 6 PM. Open weekends for 24-hour respite care. Closed Sundays.

Reports To: Nursing Supervisor or Registered Nurse

Qualifications:

  1. Current CPR
  2. At least 2 verifiable references
  3. Clear criminal background 
  4. Successful completion of a competency evaluation program.

Requirements: 

  1. 1 year direct pediatric client care experience preferred but not required;
  2. Ability to lift, carry, bend, walk and reach as needed to perform client care and/or transfer of clients up to 50 lbs.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, clients, families, caregivers and the general public.
  4. Maintain standard level of professionalism and a positive community representation
  5. Proof you are free of communicable disease
  6. TB test/ screening
  7. A valid California Driver’s license with proof of insurance plus access to reliable transportation
  8. COVID-19 vaccination and booster shot

Job Description:

  1. Part-time; per diem, depending on the clients needs and needs of the facility.
  2. Provide direct care services under a skilled nurse to pediatric and adult clients with special health care needs. 
  3. Able to turn and position the client in a wheelchair, bed, mat, bean bag etc...
  4. Assist with transfers and ambulation.
  5. Prepare meals, Feed or assist the client to eat orally or bolus tube feedings, assist or perform oral care and G- tube care.
  6. Perform all ADL care for the client or assist as needed to include but not limited to peri care/toileting 
  7. Keep the client care area clean and free of hazards, perform general housekeeping duties like wash laundry and change linens. 
  8. Assist clients in the participation of independent and group activities.
  9. Must work well in a team environment. 
  10. Be receptive and take guidance and direction from supervising RN/ LVN.
  11. Maintain a standard level of professionalism and positive community representation.
  12. Position available immediately

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly - $18-22 per hour DOE
  • Paid Training
  • PTO - up to 5 weeks paid time off
  • For Full time employees:
