RideCo is Hiring a Fleet Coordinator Near Alhambra, CA

This is an opportunity in the exciting and fast-growing transportation technology industry. Public transit is being transformed from a static, scheduled fixed-routes system to a dynamic on-demand network, and you will be one of the pioneers shaping this transformation.
The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for performing various duties related to the maintenance and service of vehicles and facilities as well as inventory management, compliance and customer service.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection:
    • Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards.
    • Coordinate with mechanics or service centers for routine maintenance and repairs.
    • Keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance history, expenses and status in the maintenance platform (Fleetio)
    • Perform basic maintenance tasks in the vehicles as needed
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor any parts and vehicle hardware inventory, including tracking RMA's, warranties and core returns
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, including mileage and condition.
    • Coordinate with procurement teams for vehicle purchases or disposals as needed.
  • Scheduling and Dispatching:
    • Plan and coordinate vehicle assignments based on runcut, ad-hoc demand and availability.
    • Perform pick up or drop off vehicles as needed.
    • Optimize maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Customer Service:
    • Communicate with customers regarding vehicle assignments and vehicle conditions
    • Address customer inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle transactions, including maintenance records, service and damages.
    • Generate reports on fleet utilization, maintenance costs, and other key performance metrics as requested
    • Prepare documentation for insurance claims or legal purposes in case of accidents or incidents.
  • Compliance and Regulations:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices for fleet management.
    • Implement safety protocols and training programs for drivers to promote compliance and safe driving habits.
    • Conduct sporadic quality control and audits on vendors services
  • Logistics Support:
    • Assist with the coordination of vehicle deliveries, transfers, or pickups between different locations.
    • Coordinate with other departments, such as sales or operations, to fulfill customer requests or organizational needs.
    • Monitor fuel usage and coordinate refueling as necessary to keep vehicles operational.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other team members and vendors to ensure smooth operations and vehicle uptime
    • Participate in team meetings or training sessions to share insights, feedback, and best practices.
    • Support colleagues during peak periods or emergencies to maintain service levels.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks or hazards related to fleet operations and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
    • Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize accidents, injuries, or property damage.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements or cost savings within the fleet management process.
    • Propose and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies or trends in fleet management to remain competitive in the industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 12 months of related work experience
  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
  • Working knowledge of Fleetio software, or willingness to learn
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle machinery safely and operate and automobile
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record (proof required)
  • Must be available to work in a schedule around operational needs (could include some weekends/holidays)
  • Willingness to be flexible, and work at multiple facility locations around LA County.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $52,000
