Ricker Atkinson McBee Morman and Associates(RAMM), a small (<50 employees) locally-owned Geotechnical Engineering/Construction Materials Testing firm, has an immediate opening for experienced Construction Materials Field Technicians/Special Structural Inspectors. Looking for energetic, motivated individuals ready to step into on-going projects. Ideal candidates will have at a minimum current ATTI and ACI certifications. This is a full time position with some overtime, varying from week to week. Must be flexible on a daily basis as the workday does vary from day to day. Occasional Saturday work may be required also. Excellent benefit package including paid vacation/sick/holidays and health insurance is available. Applicant must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and basic math skills.

Willing to train the right candidates without materials testing experience who are energetic and motivated that are willing to learn on the job.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

-Sample concrete, soils and asphalt from active construction sites across the valley.

-Perform special inspections for Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Foundations, Fireproofing and EIFS

-Ability to lift and carry 50-75lbs in 5 gallon bucket(s) across construction sites

-Ability to maneuver wheelbarrow with up to 100lbs. of concrete

-Must have your own reliable pickup - all business mileage reimbursed at the maximum IRS allowable rate (currently $0.67/mile)

-Available to work off hours - many projects will have work starting at Midnight or later

-Starting times will vary from day to day, depending on construction schedules on our on-going projects.

-Available to work more than 8 hours per day, depending on construction schedules each day

Required Minimum Qualifications

- High School Diploma

- Current ICC Certification in Structural Masonry, additional ICC Certifications beneficial

- Current ACI Grade I Field Technician Certification

- Current ATTI Field Technician Certification

- Radiation Safety Training Certificate

- Reliable pickup

- Clean driving record

- Clean drug screening

- Good work boots, long pants, t-shirts or long sleeve shirts required. No tennis shoes, shorts or muscle shirts allowed. Required Personal Protection Equipment will be provided by RAMM - Hard Hat, Safety Vest, Safety Glasses, Gloves
