Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid NJ Class B, CDL License with S & P endorsements
- Good health and sufficient vitality to perform duties assigned.
- Demonstrated aptitude for assigned responsibilities.
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years previous safe driving experience.
- 3 years experience operating a school bus or commercial vehicle.
Performance Responsibilities
- Obeys all traffic laws. Observes all mandatory State of NJ Regulations for School Buses.
- Maintains discipline when students are on the bus. Reports disciplined issues to the proper administrative personnel.
- Keeps assigned bus clean.
- Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects and maintains all required paperwork.
- Notifies the proper administrative personnel in case of mechanical failure and lateness.
- Check bus after every run for students and / or items.
- Pick up / discharges students only at authorized bus stops.
- Exercises responsible leadership when on district school trips.
- Transports only authorized students.
- Reports all accidents and complete required reports.
- Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus
- Performs such duties as may from time to time be assigned.
Salary : $39,109 per year
