Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for a fleet of vehicles
- Dispatch drivers to various locations based on customer orders and delivery schedules
- Monitor driver progress and provide updates to customers as needed
- Utilize transportation management software (such as AS400 or Oracle Transportation Management) to track shipments and optimize routes
- Analyze data and reports to identify areas for improvement in fleet efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance

Requirements:
- Proven experience in dispatching or logistics role
- Familiarity with fleet management systems and transportation management software
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information System) software is a plus

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Overnight shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Queens, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Dispatching: 5 years (Preferred)
• Customer service: 5 years (Preferred)
