Richmond Primary School is a faith-based private school offering education to students in the primary grades who would benefit from small class sizes, direct teaching, and a student-centered approach. Since opening our doors in the Fall of 2021, we've welcomed over 60 students to our program and are excited to continue to grow and expand year after year. We believe these primary years build the foundation to which they'll stand on for the rest of their lives. Building confidence in learning and education is one of our main goals and tailoring to their individual needs at this age has proven amazing outcomes.

We are currently looking to add an enthusiastic and passionate Second Grade Classroom Teacher to our tight-knit team for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Hours:

7:45 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:
A Full-Time Classroom Teacher will...

• Plan and deliver creative and innovative instruction that helps foster student-directed discovery in all subject areas (Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science)
• Create a classroom environment that is safe, healthy, and nurturing and goes along with the philosophy and goals of our program.
• Support the social-emotional needs of each student as necessary.
• Attend faculty meetings and professional development meetings.
• Maintain an age-appropriate curriculum.
• Differentiate learning instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Deliver individual, whole-group, and small-group instruction.
• Communicate and collaborate with other Richmond Primary staff members.
• Build positive relationships with parents, guardians, and/or caregivers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A qualified applicant will hold at least a Bachelor's Degree and have demonstrated a strong academic record. A Masters Degree and Teaching Certification preferred, but not mandatory.
• Have a minimum of three years teaching experience or previous experience working with children.

Position will start in August 2024.
