Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will work closely with the Superintendent to oversee and manage golf course operations. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate.
Duties
-Richmond CC is a private country club with primarily A-4 Greens, Bermuda and Zoysia Tees, and Vamont Bermuda Fairways. RCC has gone through multiple years of reconstruction of Greens,Tees, and Bunkers. This will provide a diverse learning experience in maintaining multiple soil profiles and turf cultivars for Poa, Bent and Bermuda grasses. In the coming Spring we will continue converting bunkers to Capillary Concrete
Candidate will acquire hands on experience with staff management/training, irrigation system repair/maintenance, water management and chemical/fertilizer applications. The assistant will help the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain the quality and expectations that the members expect.
Educational Requirements
2-or-4 year Turf degree or related field, Turf Certificate and/or multiple years of on course experience in a managerial role preferred but not required.
Experience Requirements
Dependent on educational qualifications lengths of on course experience may vary. Upcoming Turf graduates are encouraged to apply.
Special Requirements
Have or ability to pass Virginia pesticide license with in 90 days.
