Porter/Groundskeeper

Knowledge / Skills / Ability

• Must have excellent communication skills
• Ability to walk, bend, or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be receptive and observant
• Must be conscious to general safety/sanitary procedure when performing tasks

Responsibilities

• Ensure the tidy appearance of the property by physically walking the premises
• Notify manager of any diseased, dying or dead landscape plantings.
• Sweep/Transfer any loose trash, animal droppings, etc. into a proper receptacle
• Clear paths and walkways of loose grass, or clear weeds as they surface
• Make sure the lighting around the property is functioning
• Repair and replace windows, screens, sliding glass doors, etc. Perform routine maintenance on the property as requested
• Pressure wash sidewalks, driveways and stairwells as needed.
• Distribute resident communications, i.e. upcoming events, pest control notices, newsletters, etc.
