Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation is Hiring an Elementary Teacher Near Ellettsville, IN

SALARY/DAYS/BENEFITS: Salary, number of days, and benefits will be determined by the Board
SUMMARY: To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
EDUCATION/ LICENSE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in education.
Hold a valid Indiana Teacher’s license.
Such additional qualifications as the Board or the State of Indiana shall require.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
Develop schemes of work and lesson plans.
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
Prepare classroom for class activities.
Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
Use relevant technology to support instruction.
Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.
Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments.
Provide appropriate feedback on work.
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations.
Prepare required reports on students and activities.
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
Perform certain pastoral duties including student support, counseling students with academic problems, and providing student encouragement.
Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations.
Participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings.
Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources, and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and analyze, and interpret educational periodicals and professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondence, and administrative procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Must be able to speak on demand to large groups of people. Must be able to transport between school buildings, districts, and cities. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of policies.
