Richard Lucas Chevrolet Subaru is Hiring an Auto Technician (A,B, and C need only apply) Near Avenel, NJ

Richard Lucas Chevrolet is looking for Auto Technicians of all levels. We are seeking A, B, C, and Lube Tech level experienced energetic and reliable individuals.

Morning, Afternoon, and Evening shifts available.

Up to $5,000 sign on bonus.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with GM factory and GM center standards.
  • Diagnose vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/perform appropriate repairs.
  • Examine vehicles to identify necessary repair or safety items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to Service Advisor.
  • Notify Service Advisor if work cannot be completed as promised.
  • Clearly and accurately document all work performed.
  • Attend and successfully complete factory training as required by GM.
  • Keep informed of factory technical bulletins.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Meet all requirements of state and federal law for automobile repair and consumer protection.
  • Supervise work of apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Technically knowledgeable, experienced, or trainable on GM-Subaru product line
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Own Tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Visual acuity in distinguishing series of numerical and alphabetical sequences.
  • Self-sufficiency and ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to handle twisting, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, turning, sitting, standing, running, and walking associated with responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle physical strain associated with responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and write as associated with responsibilities.
  • Ability to hear as associated with responsibilities
