Job Overview:

Join our team of friendly, hard-working, and caring staff as a Medical Office Assistant for surgical scheduling, preauthorizations, and other medical office support.

Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling appointments and completing patient intake information
- Handling phone calls and inquiries promptly and professionally - preauthorizing exams and procedures - completing the surgical scheduling process - assisting in maintaining cleanliness of the office environment - covering for receptionists as needed

Skills:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Ability to compose documents in English at professional level - Ability to type at least 35 wpm to document all patient communications
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
