San Antonio Winery is seeking to hire Part-Time Tasting Room Associates for our Tasting Room & Bistro in Paso Robles. You can apply online or visit the Tasting Room in person to apply from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The ideal candidate will have a naturally cheerful demeanor and can deliver enthusiastic and exceptional customer service while pouring wines and educating guests about our history, philanthropy, and culture. While a passion for and basic knowledge of wine is preferred, we are willing to provide training. Proven abilities in sales and customer service within a fast-paced environment are required. We currently have part-time positions available, which may lead to full-time opportunities. We are open 7 days a week during the day.

Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer with a smile and a warm welcome.
• Effectively advise and sell wines to guests who order at our counter for tastings and in the extensive gift shop.
• Ability to answer questions and make recommendations regarding our wine and food menu.
• Handle routine point-of-sale transactions.
• Uphold brand standards for maintaining the bar, restaurant, patio, and private dining rooms.
• Properly open and pour wine and tasting flights at the counter and tables.
• Maintain basic cleaning practices.
• Work effectively with teammates during daily duties and operations.
• Ability to adhere to policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age due to government regulations.
• Knowledge of wine or ability to learn about our wines that can be communicated to our guests; Willing to train the right person.
• Food & Wine knowledge is a plus.
• Experience or willingness to learn sales, customer service, and confident interaction with the diverse public.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Outstanding verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• High energy and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Familiarity with or ability to learn the operation of POS systems.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with little direction.
• Basic computer and math skills are required.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive Salary based on experience: $18.00 - $21.50 per hour
