Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. Responsibilities: - Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members - Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar - Collect and update patient information, including medical records and insurance details - Verify insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork - Assist with billing and payment processing - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area - Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow Skills: - Previous experience working in a medical or dental office preferred - Knowledge of medical scheduling systems and electronic health records (EHR) - Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care.
