Full-time position available. Monday to Friday. We are looking for a friendly, energetic and outgoing person. The ideal candidate would be a responsible individual with physician's office experience that can work well with others, in a busy and fast paced environment and must be willing to travel to if needed.
The purpose of this position is to assist with coordinating all aspects of a patient's visit with the clinic with respect to scheduling, front desk, medical records, data entry and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Please Note During Training you May be Required to Travel to our other Location in Orlando.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Receptionist/Scheduler Duties: Experience Preferred. Welcome patients and visitors to the medical office; answer inquiries or refer questions to other staff members. Schedule appointments, update demographic and necessary information, check patient in/out, Cancel and reschedule appointments, follow-up on no shows, confirm appointments daily, Answer phone calls /check voicemails, document all phone calls with patients, accurately make/cancel/reschedule appointments in the computer appointment system. Follow-up on appointment to determine patient compliance and contact patients to reschedule (no-show policy) etc.
- Medical Records Duties/As needed: Maintain patient records in a professional manner with confidentiality. Transfer medical records as requested, according to written policy and procedures. Request & release medical records, FMLA, & Disability Paperwork. Maintain knowledge on all current insurance policies the company accepts and maintain appropriate files. Other related duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
Other Duties: Energetic, Outgoing & Happy personality. Maintain work areas (Keeping designated areas orderly and clean, to include disinfecting between patients as per infection control policy), Understand the referral process of patients, complete all duties, responsibilities, and competencies in a manner that is appropriate to the age groups to whom care/services are being provided. Other duties as assigned by the Physician or Practice Administrator.
Occasional Travel to Orlando may be needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- 1 years Medical/General Office Experience/Skills
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Bilingual Preferred
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Good communication skills with all levels of personnel
- Knowledge of computers and general office equipment
- EHR/EMR experience preferred
- Reliable Transportation
- Ability to easily establish rapport and relationships with patients, co-workers, peers and employer
-Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and high volume of activities
-Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize well
-Attention to detail
-Must be a self-motivated, assertive, enthusiastic, self-directed and people oriented
