Skills - Medical Assistant

• Schedule appointments, maintain, and update appointment calendars.
• File and maintain records.
• Answer telephone, forward calls, provide information and take messages.
• Greet patients as they enter the office.
• Receive payment and record receipts for services.
• Calculate costs of services.
• Record patient personal information.
• Maintain patient confidentiality by abiding by HIPAA privacy policy.
• Utilize fax machines or computers to send out requested information.
• Performs additional clerical duties as assigned

Skills – Medical Assistant

• Greet patients and obtain health history.
• Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms for clinical examinations and medical instruments.
• Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Strictly follow confidentiality, HIPAA/OSHA, and security procedures.
• Maintain neat, clean, orderly patient/work areas always.

Education and Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
