Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products to various locations. Your role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, such as a box truck, to transport goods
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or hand trucks
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs and invoices
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safe operation
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service by being professional, courteous, and helpful
Requirements:
- Valid
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role
- Proficient in loading and unloading goods, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and address any concerns or inquiries
- Strong organizational skills to plan routes efficiently and meet delivery deadlines
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform routine inspections
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Prior experience in courier services or customer service is a plus
