We are looking for someone to fill our union Building Engineer position that is located at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. Home of the MN Timberwolves and MN Lynx.
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, tools, and facilities within Target Center. In addition, this position will assist other Operations staff in answering service calls. Hours of work may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Duties:
•Able to satisfactory perform the following general maintenance tasks independently, carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical maintenance
•Ability to work under stress and duress during high-pressure situations.
•Responsible for general building maintenance and upkeep.
•Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly workspaces.
•Assists with the hiring, training, and supervision of all full-time and part-time maintenance staff.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum education level of AA/AS Degree (2-year) (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Experience in using Building Automated Systems (BAS).
- Effective mechanical skills
- Experience in welding
- Certification in refrigeration desired.
- Requires the ability to work varying hours which include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to carry and climb ladders
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs frequently and 100lbs occasionally.
