RFA Engineering is Hiring an Entry Level Electrical Engineer Near Dubuque, IA

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an Entry-Level to Experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Entry Level Electrical Engineer

This position is associated with the development and testing of vehicle electrification systems on construction equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Electrical Product Validation & Verification (PV&V) activities for construction machine platforms.
  • Support design and testing activities for electronic components and electrical systems.
  • Provide problem solving of electrical issues on new product development and current production.
  • Participate on Product Delivery Process (PDP) and PV&V teams as the electrical representative, ensuring electrical activities and plans are formulated and followed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent.
  • Previous engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work for a defined portion of a project or equivalent
  • A strong desire and ability to learn new subject matters and technologies
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership potential
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%

Desired Attributes

  • Previous Electrical Engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work.
  • Working knowledge of electrical components such as batteries, starters, alternators, relays, solenoids, sensors, lights, and connectors.
  • Experience performing environmental verification testing and resolving issues.
  • Experience performing EMC testing and issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of electrical wire harness circuits and routing.
  • Experience writing functional, performance, and durability requirements.
  • Familiarity with operating Construction, Forestry, or Ag off-road equipment.
