This individual will be responsible for:
Set up, configure, and upkeep hardware and software systems, covering servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
Address technical support inquiries from users promptly and effectively resolve issues.
Investigate hardware and software glitches, identify underlying causes, and apply appropriate remedies.
Enforce and implement IT security protocols and procedures to safeguard against unauthorized access, malware, and potential threats.
Oversee user accounts, permissions, and access rights in alignment with organizational guidelines.
Work collaboratively with fellow IT team members and across departments to facilitate IT projects and initiatives.
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES/PROFICIENCIES:
Experience and/or Education: associate or bachelor s degree, or equivalent professional experience or certifications.
Computer Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems is a must.
Demonstrated experience in an IT Specialist role or similar position.
Proficient understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V, as well as cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Familiarity with IT security best practices and tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with users across all levels of the organization.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office365 is highly desirable.
