Reynolds School District is Hiring a MYC Summer Youth Crew Member Near Portland, OR
Provide support to MYC Crew Leader and community partners on natural resrouce conservation prodjects.
Essential Job Functions:
Projects includes watershed and wetlands restoration, native planting, invasive species removal, urban tree canopy improvements, trail maintenance, trail construction and other work projects related to natural area improvements.
Other Job Functions:
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required Education and Experience: Youth must be ages 15-19
- Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be physically able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
Work as a part of a team.
Follow instructions given by supervisor.
Wear personal protective equipment and maintain appropriate appearance and behavior for a public setting.
- Interest in Natural Resources, Conservation, Northwest Ecology.
- Enjoy being outside and active.
- Preference is given to youth within the Reynolds School District who are interested in enrolling in the MYC School Year Program to pursue a high school diploma.
Preferences:
Working Conditions: All work is performed outdoors.
Schedule: M-Th - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, 8 hours per day
