Primary Purpose:
Welcome to the Rising Juniors and Seniors Office and Administrative Staff Program! We are thrilled to offer high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to work as integral members of our school district's office and administrative team during the summer. This program is a direct reflection of our district's visionary commitment to promoting a healthy learning and working environment that equips students with the skills, social support, and environmental reinforcement necessary to adopt long-term, healthy behaviors. As part of this program, you will have the chance to contribute to the smooth operation of our administrative offices, assisting with tasks such as organizing documents, managing schedules, and providing support to staff members. By participating in this initiative, you will not only gain practical experience in office and administrative functions but also develop valuable communication skills, enhance your organizational abilities, and foster a sense of professionalism. We invite you to join us in creating an inclusive and supportive educational community where students thrive and are empowered to succeed both academically and personally.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
No experience required.
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge— of standard office equipment.
Skills— of operating standard office equipment including use of computer applications, use English in both written and verbal form, use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Abilities— to sit for prolonged periods, understand and carry out oral and written instruction. Significant physical abilities include reaching/handling/fingering, talking/hearing conversations, near visual acuity/visual accommodation
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Ability to utilize proper grammar, spelling and punctuation; make accurate mathematical calculations, compile and maintain accurate records and reports; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; meet the public courteously and tactfully while performing a variety of tasks. Promotes good working relationships with students, staff, parents and others while preserving the privacy of confidential matters which may occur within the scope of assigned duties.
