DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assumes responsibilities of Marina Supervisor during his absence
• Trains new employees on daily operation of marina
• Removes boats from assigned spaces in the dry storage building safely and efficiently follows training guidelines for forklift operation
• Receives customer service and launch requests by handheld radio or telephone and performs tasks promptly with a strong service focus
• Provides guidance and oversees the seasonal staff with regard to daily task assignments, compliance with safety policies and procedures, and customer service
• Works with service staff to accomplish billable repairs and maintenance with a focus on member satisfaction
• Relieves other staff positions as needed, i.e., forklift II operator or dockhand
• Adheres to high aesthetic standards at the facility
• Maintains a clean, professional appearance

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Performs job responsibilities and operates equipment according to the company safety and training programs
• Uses personal protective equipment as trained and required
• Reports safety or hazard concerns to management
• Reports any on the job injury to management
• Applies the “5S System” to the continued maintenance of a clean and safe work environment for all employees and guests
• Takes personal responsibility for safety every day

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

• Must possess good leadership skills
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Must be familiar with all aspects of daily marina operation
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid GA driver’s license and a good driving record
• Must be able to swim, perform occasional heavy lifting, have excellent corrected vision, and good balance
• Must be physically able to bend, stretch and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to perform outdoor physical labor in varying weather conditions
• Previous experience in marina operations preferred
• Must have 12 months experience as marina forklift operator
• Must be familiar with safety and operating procedures of all positions according to marina guidelines
