Position Summary:
The Operations Supervisor position is responsible for both Delivery and Warehouse operations. This position will supervise the day-to-day activities of the delivery department along with responsibilities over warehouse inventory, receiving, slotting, replenishment and order selecting.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Supervises daily delivery operations, planning and scheduling manpower
- Assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight
- Coordinates drivers according to customer requests in compliance with DOT regulations and company rules
- Communicates with customers to determine driver needs and schedules and notifies drivers of assignments and enters assignment data in computer database
- Ensures quality standards and productivity standards are achieved with safety being a priority.
- Responsible for Warehouse productivity tracking, to meet customer schedules and maximize operational efficiency
- Assists with various transportation/warehouse duties related to DOT regulations, OSHA, fleet operations, and scheduling
- Coaches and leads the Warehouse team to increase productivity and provide high-quality customer service
- Ensures completion and proper execution of work procedures
- Accountable for all inventory functions
- Other projects or duties as assigned
