About the role
Position Description:
The Wastewater Technician I is an entry level position responsible to safely perform the followingfundamental tasks: waste stream sampling, off-loading tanker trucks, waste stream QA/QC, bench testing, and waste stream treatcode assignments. The WWTT is expected to have a general mechanical understanding of liquids management. Specifically, viahose connection/removal, pump function / operation, and valves management.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic chemical analysis such as pH, flash point, FOG, solids, and ammonia.
Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Sampling tanker trucks and containers.
Connecting the hose and unloading of tanker trucks.
Use basic oil line and wastewater treatment line operations.
Submit all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements.
Requirements:
< 1 year of experience
Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift over 50 pounds
Ability to pass respirator fit test
Experience in NetSuite
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
