About the role

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Reworld's industrial disposal process.

• Safe operations of heavy equipment (front end loader and excavator).

• Performs daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fills out necessary log sheets according to procedures.

• Performs troubleshooting on equipment and reports all malfunctioning equipment through the issuance of work orders.

• Performs checks as required by the weekly activities book, the monthly critical items check list, etc.

• Maintains proper fuel, lubricant and oil levels for operation of assigned equipment.

• Performs lockout and tagout of equipment in support of maintenance activities.

• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and an orderly work area.

• Operates equipment in movement of MSW on tipping floor and loading MSW onto the RDF process lines, maintaining a steady flow of MSW to the process operation.

• Loads RDF material onto one or more fuel feed systems in a consistent manner to support full-load boiler operation.

• Operates the OBW process system as directed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred

• Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.

• A minimum of 1 year experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment (front loaders, excavators, dozer, skid steer, bobcat, etc.)

• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule

• Must be able to pass respiratory fit tested on a daily basis

• Must be able to read, write and speak English

• Must be able to work rotating shifts

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator

• Consistently work in various weather conditions

Rotating schedule of days and nights while working 8 hour days, 5 days per week.
