Overview:

Revvity is manufacturer of scientific instruments, reagents, and software to drive innovations in human and environmental health around the world.

We are looking for a talented Software Development Manager to join our Signals team, building a product we call the Signals Data Factory. The Signals Data Factory is a product which specializes in taking in many different forms of scientific data, transforming it, and making it searchable (using Elasticsearch) and analyzable via a variety of interfaces. Its current use spans from early in the drug-discovery process to analyzing active clinical trial data.

You Will:

• Help guide the team to deliver new features and track their velocity

• Collaborate with fellow team members on priorities, specifications, and feature implementation

• Create secure, performant interfaces and services

• Work with AWS services and cloud technologies

• Work on a system capable of processing petabytes of data

• Have direct reports

• Be responsible for staffing decisions

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• 2 years of professional experience managing teams of software developers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multiple stages of SDLC (development, software quality assurance testing, implementation, etc.)

• Some experience with Spark and/or Elasticsearch - most desired

• Experience with relational database design

• ExperiencewithJava and Scala

• Kafka experience is desired

• Kubernetes,Rancher &Docker

• Mocha/Sinon

• Experience with buildingAPIs in Node.js and Spring Framework

• Experience with cloud-hosting at one of the top-3 providers

• Some experience with job scheduling workflows

• Strong Track record of providing direction and leadership to teams in a cross-functional, global environment
