Content Strategist

Our office is in Eugene, Oregon. This position is on-site, Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM.

Job Description

You are the central hub of the Agency’s voice. This client-facing position supports the Agency by copyediting for web, digital, and print projects. You’ll meet with clients and our internal and external teams to provide a voice and copy for exciting marketing projects. You will be responsible for delivering interesting, accurate, well-crafted copy, on-time and on-budget. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding clients, coordinating copy for projects with agency staff, creating copy, and reviewing and editing copy.

The Content Strategist will have ownership of:

  • Copywriting, copyediting, and proofing for websites, digital media, and graphic design and marketing projects
  • Account Management for digital or content-forward clients
  • Digital communications - content calendars, planning, scheduling, reputation management, PR, emailers, blogs, and social media
  • Content Strategy - Contributing ideas and strategic recommendations for effective communications, advertising, and campaigns

A successful candidate will need to:

  • Have strong written and verbal skills
  • Enjoy being part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Write, review, and edit copy for Agency projects including client web, digital, and print projects
  • Provide edits and copy support to specified timelines and budgets
  • Define and maintain a distinct and consistent voice across marketing materials and channels
  • Manage external copywriting resources when necessary
  • Be proficient with tracking changes and utilizing Adobe Acrobat, Word, and Google Docs and maintaining version histories
  • Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality copy, and solicit and act on client feedback in a timely manner
  • Utilize agency project management software to track hours, bill clients, and update the team on project status
  • Maintain and nurture client relationships

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 writing, editing experience for web, digital and print projects
  • Proficient with Apple, Excel, Microsoft and Google Apps
  • Agency experience a plus; not required
  • Experience with Trello a plus; not required

  • Base Salary: $50-60K depending on experience
