Revise Energy is Hiring a Home Energy Specialist Near West Springfield, MA
Assist and educate customers on energy efficiency improvements that are recommended for their homes through Mass Save Program regulations.
- Perform comprehensive residential home energy assessments in accordance with the Mass Save program and Revise, Inc.
- Educate home owners in energy efficiency practices based on the home energy assessment; including weatherization, windows, solar, and HVAC improvements.
- Conduct combustion safety testing of heating and hot water equipment to evaluate existing conditions and recommend energy efficiency improvements.
- Provide or install Instant Savings Measures such as smart power strips, showerheads, aerators, and thermostats.
- Complete detailed and accurate data collection and measurements.
- Interact with homeowners and tenants, answering questions regarding energy efficiency recommendations.
- Promote and encourage adoption of energy saving measures based on the assessment; including weatherization, windows, solar, and HVAC improvements.
- Commitment to superior customer service.
- Motivated to succeed in a metric-driven environment and comfortable working in a constantly changing environment.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate technical and program concepts to home owners and other interested parties.
- Ability to measure and calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Some Saturday availability is required.
- Previous customer service and sales experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred with a strong interest in building science.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Pre-Employment screenings are required.
- Active BPI Certification a plus (not required)
- May perform work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Must be comfortable with heights and confined spaces (as required for accurately scoping for work).
- May be exposed to inclement weather conditions and other work conditions including excessive heat, cold, wind, snow and storms.
- Requires extensive standing, walking, kneeling and bending.
- May be periodically required to lift items in excess of 25 lbs.
- Frequently exposed to noise, dust, dirt and other related hazards
- This position is largely commission-based.
