Our client has a contract opportunity for a Program Manager who will support the entire portfolio but is primarily dedicated to supporting the Senior Program Manager’s Program activities. Program Manager 1 to support the portfolio and help the Senior Program Manager of that portfolio.
What are the expectations of this role?
  • Lead a small program (Or 1-2 Medium sized program workstreams) a part of the larger Program / Portfolio.
  • Provide administrative support for programs assigned, not limited to;
  • Meeting notes, schedule meetings, coordinate with cross functional / business teams
  • Create / maintain stakeholder documents / Status update decks for report outs
  • Communicate with product / engineering teams for updates
  • Attend stand ups / scrum sessions to understand depth of work
  • Assist Senior Program Manager with all other related program tasks;
  • Creating milestones, Project schedules, Leadership decks, etc.
  • Provide support on Vendor relationships / Contracts / Invoicing as well as future partnerships
  • Continuous Improvement for portfolio / TBPM Analysis & Implementation
  • Provide general support to Teammate Portfolio and other teammates (Dir. / Pgm / Scrum / etc.)
Job requirements:
  • Mid-level (3-5) years or experience in this retail / tech / similar field
  • Bachelor's Degree (Project Management / Business / Tech)
  • Understanding of Agile / SDLC
  • Understanding of Project Management Principles
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Team-management and leadership skills
  • Documentation management and ability to use project management tools
  • Attention to details even under pressure
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Reporting and Review: Manage the program review process; provide stakeholders with accurate and relevant information and key recommendations at agreed review points to enable them to evaluate progress and agree on change.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to reviewing existing operations in area of responsibility and generate new ideas to help identify continuous improvements.
  • Program Assurance: Conduct assurance reviews within the program, facilitate the delivery of assurance reviews by independent third parties, and take appropriate action to resolve any issues identified so that senior stakeholders have confidence that the program can deliver to time, budget, and quality.
  • Resource Management: Manage the deployment of program resources, proactively managing costs, providing forecasts, and presenting variances with narrative at appropriate review points to ensure effective utilization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective program working relationships and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.
  • Program Team Management: Lead a small program team; communicate the outcomes needed and direction to achieve outcomes, coordinates team actions on program tasks; requests additional team member support when needed; and identifies areas of improvement necessary to build the capability of the team through training, coaching and mentoring.
  • Leadership and Direction: Explain available program management services and support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done, and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission and vision; motivate people to achieve business goals.
  • Benefit Realization: Carry out baseline assessment and facilitate post-implementation analyses to contribute to the measurement and tracking of business benefits.
  • Transformational Change Management: Act as a transformational change agent within assigned program, ensuring integration with related programs; use structured change management methodologies to drive acceptance of change and to embed desired culture and behaviors.
  • Program Governance: Ensure compliance with the organization's wider program and/or portfolio management decision-making structures and processes.
  • Budgeting: Manage budget for assigned program
