Resurgence Biomedical Sciences is at the forefront of advanced medical and biological services, offering cutting-edge human biostasis (organ cryopreservation, suspended animation, and other forms of biological stasis) products and services to a global clientele. Our mission is to harness advances in the field of cryobiology and biological stasis as applied to human candidates, ensuring that the process is smooth, controlled, and always in the best interests of our clients. This venture merges a medical clinic and eventual micro-hospital with unique biomedical research intended for brain and organ preservation, as well as regenerative and longevity medicine. We are looking to provide lifespan medical care to individuals while also conducting research into life extension technologies, organ procurement, brain banking, the preservation of organs for future transplantation and the possibility of identity preservation of the individual after clinical death. We are pushing the boundaries of biostasis research to allow for organ banking (for transplantation) as well as high-fidelity brain preservation in the hopes of preserving identity, and ultimately the possible restoration of consciousness.

Practice Administrator for Innovative Medical Clinic and Biomedical Research Startup

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Office/Practice Administrator to join our team. We are creating a practice to advance healthcare through cutting-edge research and holistic patient care. As Practice Administrator, you will play an essential role by helping combine the clinical and research practices necessary for us to foster a culture of excellence and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate is creative and open-minded, has outstanding organizational skills and has experience managing new start up and existing medical practices. Having additional experience in managing clinical or biomedical research or managing in a specialized or micro-hospital would be an asset as well. You might expect this to be the most interesting job you will ever have.

Responsibilities: As Practice Administrator, you would initially be working at and beyond the level of clinical practice manager II, responsible for managing the operations of the medical clinic and facilitating collaboration between the clinic and the research group. You will have opportunities for professional advancement.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Ability to guide and assist our team in building a new clinical medical practice: Prior experience in opening a small start-up medical practice is essential. We intend to build a medical practice from one or two providers to microhospital (8 to 25 bed). We need a manger who can expand with the task.

2. Direction & Research Collaboration: Providing logistical and conceptual leadership to the medical clinic and research teams. This includes the integration of research findings into the clinical practice, as well as facilitating patient-centered care within the research practice.

3. Administrative Management: Overseeing daily administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, medical coding, billing, and insurance claims processing. Implementing efficient systems to streamline workflow and optimize patient experiences. Setting up front and back office operations.

4. Staff Supervision: Recruiting, credentialing, training, and managing a diverse team of medical professionals, researchers, and support staff. Conducting performance evaluations, offering professional development opportunities, and addressing any personnel issues that may arise..

5. Financial Management: Working closely with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets for both the clinic and the research group. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and optimizing revenue generation.

6. Regulatory Compliance: Staying up-to-date with healthcare regulations, research ethics and compliance standards. Ensuring the clinic’s provider and research group’s adherence to all relevant laws and guidelines, within the medical, biomedical, and anatomical donation industries, in collaboration with appropriate legal support.

7. Patient & Participant Experience: Developing and implementing initiatives to enhance the overall patient experience in collaboration with business stakeholders. Monitoring client feedback and implementing changes to improve satisfaction levels.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management with significant medical practice experience. Certified Medical Practice Executive and/or Certified Physician Practice Manager certification preferred (CMPE). Master’s degree preferred.

A minimum of five years experience in medical office or practice management.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and foster a culture of innovation, compassion, and excellence.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations, Electronic Medical Records, and medical billing processes. (Practice Fusion experience desired)

Excellent organizational, communication, and open-minded problem-solving skills, with evidence of such skills in one’s experience being an asset.

Familiarity with biomedical research compliance desired.

The ability to adapt to a dynamic startup environment and manage competing priorities.

Pay: $79,839.00 - $89,443.00 per year
