OVERVIEW :

RestorePDX is seeking an ambitious and driven Medical Assistant to join our Interventional Orthopedic practice on a full-time basis.

This position is dynamic in that our clinic is separated into a clinical side and a procedural side, and you will have duties on both.

On our clinical side, you will be assisting providers with office visits and diagnostic ultrasounds as well as administer our energy-based medicine treatments.

Additionally, you will be trained to handle the essential administrative clinical tasks including scheduling, placing orders, answering phone calls and patient questions, and handling insurance authorizations.

On our procedural side, you will check in patients, perform phlebotomy, prepare patients for their procedure, and assist in their procedure and post-procedure recovery.

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Our MA's assist with rooming, taking vitals, charting, scribing, educating, instructing, and providing resources to patients.

They work side by side with our Providers and are an essential and valued part of the team and contribute significantly to the patient experience.

Our MA's are also responsible for room stocking, processing Rx refills, prior authorizations, and assisting with our energy-based medicine treatments including Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), EMTT, PEMF, Emsculpt.

SCHEDULE :

• Mon-Thurs, 7 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM, occasional Friday availability pending practice needs
• 10 hour shift

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Reliable transportation to our Lake Oswego clinic
• Ability to be flexible with scheduling
• MA and scribe experience or equivalent required.
• Accurate fast keyboarding (60 WPM)
• CPR and First Aid certification is required or ability to obtain by the end of probationary period
• Vaccinated for COVID-19

EXPERIENCE :

• Associates or Bachelor's degree (Required)
• Only Medical Assistants with at least 1 year of experience OR an applicant with at least 1 year of experience as a scribe as well as a Bachelor's degree in the sciences will be considered for this position.
• Medical Terminology (1 year, Required)
• Phlebotomy experience (1 year, Preferred but not required)

Our Medical Assistants use a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach to patient care by assisting the Providers through clinical and procedural services.

This is a very busy environment and the job requires extensive attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to communicate and connect with coworkers and patients.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a quick learner, and seeks answers to questions while actively engaging in ways to help others.
