Company Overview: Restoration Design Group is an interdisciplinary landscape architecture and engineering firm focused on developing public parks, open spaces, and trail networks. Our clients are primarily public agencies and open space districts around the San Francisco Bay Area although our portfolio extends from Los Angeles to southern Oregon. Our staff frequently recreate in the many public places we have designed and help create.
RDG’s landscape architecture work typically integrates environmental restoration with public access. We are most frequently the project prime and our role includes project development, collaboration with an array of scientist and engineers, facilitation with stakeholder groups, development of interpretive programs, preparation of construction documents, and project monitoring.
RDG’s landscape architects serve as project managers and lead the design development process with support staff for the creation of construction documents and specifications. The position offers a high degree of autonomy but is supported by a collaborative team of professionals with expertise in native plants, aquatic and terrestrial ecology, regulatory compliance, fine art/graphics, hydraulics, fluvial geomorphology, and engineering.

Job Summary/Objective: We are seeking a self-motivated individual interested in a leadership role with the ability to manage complex landscape and habitat design projects, draft construction documents in AutoCAD, produce graphic materials, and conduct occasional outdoor field work. The candidate will likely be a licensed landscape architect with 7 years’ relevant professional experience.
Responsibilities: This position will support RDG’s efforts to bring projects from conceptual design to construction documentation, construction, and post-project monitoring. This includes project management, construction contract administration, client management, drafting memos, reports, and other documents, drafting construction documents, conducting site assessments in the field, and producing digital and/or freehand graphic illustrations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Landscape Architect license required.
