Soldering Tech

The Medical Device Assembler is responsible to perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly. The role works on electronic devices to support the company repair and restore operations of Ultrasound devices.

Pay: $22-$24/hr depending on experience

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Description

• Assembly and disassembly tasks on electronic Ultrasound devices
• Works on subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, power supplies, frames, cables and harnesses
• Use of hand and power tools, jigs, etc.
• Self-inspect work in process and completes tasks to stay on track with work assignments and daily output goals.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble devices according to assembly instructions and specifications.
• Installing components, units, sub-assemblies and repairing as needed Conduct testing of devices when needed.
• Harvest and build subassemblies as needed.
• Complete rework and modification of assemblies and devices with clear understanding of the functional operation of items being assembled.
• Complete paperwork necessary to track jobs, inventory and quality purposes Possess excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, vendors and guests
• Demonstrate professionalism in all internal and external communication and demeanor
• Collaborate with all departments as internal customers, prioritizing tasks as needed for efficiency and compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Must have experience soldering under a microscope
• Ability to sit continuously for over 3/4 of normal work shift, and stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for at least 1/4 of the normal work shift.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Ability to talk or hear continuously.
• Ability to see clearly to do all work-related tasks (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less).
• Finger dexterity is required frequently for over 3/4 of the normal work shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
