Resourcemfg is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Plymouth, MI.
Shift: 1st 8a-4 (M-F overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $18 Based on experience
This position is 50% Administrative work 50% Plant work
As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety before they reach consumers. You will be responsible for conducting various tests and inspections throughout the production process to identify any deviations from quality standards and to implement corrective actions as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and quality tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Utilize various testing equipment and tools to assess factors such as product composition, physical properties, and microbiological attributes.
Monitor production processes to identify and address any potential quality issues, deviations, or non-conformances.
Document and analyze quality data, maintaining accurate records of test results, observations, and corrective actions taken.
Collaborate with production personnel to implement quality control procedures and best practices, ensuring consistency and reliability in product quality.
Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits to assess compliance with food safety and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP, SQF).
Investigate customer complaints and non-conforming products, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control processes, standards, and requirements.
Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to food safety and quality assurance.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing enhancements to quality control processes, procedures, and systems.
