We have a direct hire opening for a Production Supervisor in Tukwila at a packaging company specializing in low-density polyethylene film and protective flexible packaging products, such as flat bottom seal bags, gusseted bags, roll stock, and more.
They use a blown film extrusion process to create the products that meet the high standards of customers in a variety of industries like baking, seafood, meat and poultry, and more.
In this role, oversee the Extrusion and Printing departments, covering all aspects of production, maintenance, safety, quality, and housekeeping.
Direct Hire Opportunity – Be on our client’s payroll from Day 1!
Salary and Shift Information:
- Salary: $60k-$75k/annually
- Shift: This is 1st shift for now 7 am-3:30 pm but may change to a 2nd shift (3 pm-11:30 pm) or a night shift (11 pm-7:30 am); Monday-Friday
Job Duties of the Production Supervisor:
- Direct production and maintenance personnel to achieve targets in volume, cost, safety, and quality
- Enhance efficiency and productivity of production operators
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
- Keep the plant compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Provide leadership to staff and handle training, evaluation, and discipline of employees
- Suggest and implement improvements for plant procedures to boost production, ensure quality, reduce waste, and lower costs
- Foster communication and collaboration with other departments to resolve problems and delays
- Ensure machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production
- Ensure production areas are clean and maintained to prevent product contamination

Job Requirements of the Production Supervisor:
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience In manufacturing
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
