A fantastic company in the West Knox area is looking for an initiative-taking Furnace Operator! This company is committed to ongoing process enhancement to ensure they remain at the forefront of Quality and Innovation. They are continually investing in cutting-edge technology and training to deliver superior products.
The position does require you to train on 1st shift and once training is complete then move to either 2nd or 3rd shift. Weekends are required however you do get two days off in a row during the week.
•Loads and unloads customer products from furnaces.
• Stages, inspects, weighs, and packs products.
• Logging data and temperatures.
• Maintaining applicable paperwork and reviews for accuracy.
• Responsible and able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Must be comfortable standing/being on feet for lengthy periods of time
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 pounds; ability to push/pull up to 70 pounds; good problem[1]solving, analytical, and people skills; good oral communication skills.
• Ability to be medically cleared to wear a respirator (air supply hood) up to 5 hours/week
• Vision requirements – Must pass a near-vision exam with at least 20/25 in one eye (with or without corrective lenses) & a color vision test
• Production manufacturing experience
